I think most of you have heard this many times: “Breakfast is essential” trust me I am one of those that can say and have defy that phrase. As a kid I would be more than happy with a piece of toast, or a puff pastry, that would be breakfast; who would’ve thunk it at my age that I come to realize that it is. Now my favorite breakfast is guess what? yes eggs, they do give you the energy are healthy and yes egg whites are key also! Listen to some good advice and do eat your breakfast and no I do not mean have a big “breakfast” from your fast food chain restaurants. The breakfast ideas I will be posting have the seal of approval by none other than my 80 something mother in-law who is one of my key recipe tasters or as she calls herself “a real human guinea piggy” reason? ah yeah I tend to make the scale go haywire! But if you have the essential breakfast you will not be hungry and eating at your desk or binge eating will not happen.
spicy Avocado toast with egg
A healthy must for breakfast, lunch heck even dinner
Ingredients
- 1/2 Avocado
- 1/4 tsp paprika
- Himalayan pink salt and fresh ground pepper to taste
- 2 slices if deli cut turkey
Directions
- Step 1 for the Avocado spread take 1/2 avocado pit it, in a bowl mash it along with the paprika and salt and pepper
- Step 2 to have the perfect over easy egg the best thing to use is PAM spray it for 2 seconds cover pan for 1 minute and the egg should be perfect.
- Step 3 Spread the avocado to your favorite bread along with the turkey slice top it with the fried egg and enjoy!
