Healthy Smoothies

Smoothies, I have always wonder why has it become so “trendy” see as a child I grew up on smoothies, made at home with any type of fruit my mom, or grandma had at home and each one had a beneficial nutrients that when would make me just roll my eyes.. and here I am many years later stating: ah YES they were right!! (aren’t they always) 🙂   The good thing about a mom and grandmothers that wanted to give you good eating habits is that one does grow up after the same patterns. Once I became a mom I followed the same steps by  giving my kids  smoothies, made with fresh fruits,  and flavored with yogurt and honey and leaving the sugar behind. Now I will share every delicious smoothie that I have had the pleasure to make for my family and friends, and with it I will include the benefits of how and what it does to your health.  Living here in this wonderful land we call USA, has also the benefits of being able to find a lot of natural fruits available in the local market, but if in doubt and cannot find them don’t worry there is also frozen pulp fruits that will get its job done.
