This following recipe is not only my favorite when it comes to fish Tacos because of the flavor but because it only has 185 calories per taco, so this is a guilt free, full of flavor easy taco “Tuesday” recipe and as always enjoy
Speedy Fish Tacos
This quick and easy recipe will satisfy every finicky eater
Ingredients
- 1 LB Halibut fillet (but any type will work for this recipe)
- 1 small Onion thinly sliced
- 1/2 jalapeno chile pepper, finely chopped ( wear plastic gloves when handling)
- 1 Tbsp. lime juice
- 1 Tbsp. chopped fresh cilantro
- 1/2 Tsp Pink Himalayan salt
- 1 Tbsp. Canola Oil
- 1 Tsp chili powder
- 8 corn tortillas
- 2 cups shredded romaine lettuce
- 1 medium tomato, chopped
- 1 avocado sliced
Directions
- Step 1 Combine the sliced onion, chile pepper, lime juice cilantro, and 1/4 teaspoon of the salt in a medium bowl.
- Step 2 Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium high heat. Sprinkle the fish with the chili powder and remaining 1/4 teaspoon of salt. Add to the skillet and cook until fish flakes with a fork, about 5 to 6 minutes per side. Remove from skillet.
- Step 3 Heat the tortillas on the skillet for about 1 minute per side, Fill tortillas with the fish, lettuce, tomato, and avocado. Top with the onion mixture.
